The Thing at the End of the Hall

Part 3 of our Halloween-inspired shorts is "The Thing at the End of the Hall," written and directed by Peter Men. Plot: a man's bizarre nightmare begins to manifest itself in the real world.

Written that afternoon in one hour and shot the same night, the shoot spanned four hours; and because it came after two days of shooting Sean's and Drew's segments, by the end we were all creatively exhausted.

Three nights for three shorts isn't too shabby of an effort. Hope you guys all had a fun and safe Halloween!

Kind of slow, but still good. Your shots were right on! What did you use for music?

This one was all Peter’s. I think he found something that sounded like a Twilight Zone episode or something. I’ll ask!

  • Peter says:

It actually was from The Twilight Zone.

Hey, i was really looking forward (since… yesterday when i came upon your site and started watching all of your episodes compulsively) to watch these three shorts, but for some reason i’m having trouble with this and drew’s one. They stop loading after a minute or so. Could you fix it? I’m quite a fan by now… would you do that for a fan? hehe
For what i’ve seen so far, the looks in this short are pretty proffesional, it actually looks like film, even if that’s not so important to you. I do prefer it that way, not because it’s how it’s meant to be but because it looks better!

    Hey Irene!
Of course you’re worth it. A couple other people have complained about not being able to watch some of the videos.
Are you using flash player 10? These latest episodes were encoded using the new flash video encoder. You might want to go to Adobe.com and upgrade to the latest version, but I’ll see what I can do.
Check your email, too, by the way :)

It seems like Drew took some acting lessons from Will Ferrell.

  • Peter says:

Yeah, I think Drew’s a big fan. He was Ron Burgundy for Halloween.
