The Happening
We had just gotten off work and went to see The Happening. Is it a career nadir for M. Knight Shyamalan, or is it a boon to his future? How good will this movie look on his resume? Or how about we drop the pretentiousness and put it in plain speak: is it a good movie?
And here’s a video on ‘Frozen Grand Central‘ by Improv Everywhere. Yep, gotta love those guys.

I’ll offer a suggestion…I think it’s bad…I think it’s so bad, in fact, that you should participate in the greatest protest in cinema history and ask for your money back from Rupert Murdoch.
No, I’m not joking.

I haven’t seen more than thirty-second clips of any of M. Night Shyamalan’s movies, and that, for me, has been more than enough. I don’t find the genre of horror to be to my taste to begin with, I have little or no interest in what passes for suspense these days, and a movie that really focuses my attention in that genre is rare indeed.
I’ll watch a Hitchcock DVD instead, thank you…
Cheers!
