Friday Vlog #2: Music Video
While I sat in my car attempting to come up with a good topic for this vlog, I remembered I had just finished eating a single entree of Mandarin chicken and fried rice from Panda Express and had shoved a fortune cookie in my pocket as I went out the door. Frustrated because I couldn't think up anything good to talk about, my fortune ironically read, in all caps might I add, "YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO UNDERTAKE AND COMPLETE ANYTHING"
Oh well, I'll have something better for you guys next week. This week has been hectic. Oh yeah, for those of you who aren't following me on Twitter, here's the fire and paint I mention.
Just because you weren’t able to come up with a MONUMENTAL, STUPENDOUS TOPIC for this vlog, it doesn’t mean that it was inconsequential. Inspiration comes from the strangest sources, at times you least expect it. Maybe it doesn’t spring full-formed from your brow, like Athene from the brow of Zeus… that’s not a reason to despair.
Sometimes inspiration scratches on the outside of your window pane like the wing of a butterfly… it’s then up to you to chase it down, capture it, pin and mount it, and study it until you know all you can about it.
(There may be those who dislike the “butterfly collector” metaphor… it’s the one that comes to my mind quickly.)
Keep it up, keep the faith, and write if you get work.
